Coed Baby Shower Ideas: Including Daddy-To-Be In The Fun!

When a woman becomes pregnant, it is a special and momentous occasion! Everyone scrambles to throw the new mom a shower; but how many times are the fathers included in the festivities? Expectant fathers get just as excited as the mothers when it comes to the thought of their new child, and putting together a shower that gets dad involved too can be a wonderful gift. Take a look below at just a few of the many coed baby shower ideas you can use to throw the ultimate party for the coming child.

Some Fun Coed Baby Shower Ideas

It isn't as difficult as one might think to include the men in the shower festivities. As long as the new mom doesn't mind the boys being involved, there are a number of coed baby shower ideas that you can implement in her party. Be sure that you include plenty of games that don't center around mom, but rather around the baby. Since showers are usually made up of all female parties, you may have to get a bit creative to keep things from getting uncomfortable.

One of the best coed baby shower ideas that we have found, is to have a contest in which the men and women have a baby diapering race. Split the room into two teams – men versus women. Each team gets a baby doll, a cloth diaper, and three diaper pins. The object of the game is for each team member to take the diaper off of the doll, then re-diaper it as quickly as possible. Once one person has completed their task, the next team member gets a turn. The team which finishes first gets a prize. The same coed baby shower ideas can be played with just the men. Every man for himself gets a doll that they have to diaper as quickly as possible. The "father" who finishes first, and manages to get the diaper to stay on the doll, wins a prize.

Other coed baby shower ideas include bottle drinking contests, diaper bag packing contests, and any other game you can think of which will be fun for both sexes. Keep in mind that the more competitive you can make the games, the more enjoyable it will be for the men. Whatever you may come up with for your coed baby shower ideas, don't forget to tell guests to bring a gift or two for the new father, as well. After all – it's his shower, too!
